Detailed Design.
In 2018, Zelenodolsk Shipyard (ZSZ named after A.M. Gorky)
and Sea Tech, guided by an analysis of operator requirements,
extensive research experience, and modern technology,
developed a new set of requirements (Technical
Specifications) for a modern version of a passenger
hydrofoil.
Throughout the design process, vessel dimensions,
proportions, hull lines, layout, engines, and equipment were
repeatedly revised to achieve optimal results in terms of
transport efficiency, comfort, and import substitution. The
project was developed in close collaboration with the
customer, Severrechflot.
In early marketing materials by the Shipyard and the
Customer, the project was introduced under the commercial
name "Meteor-2020," which has since become its
recognized name. However, the vessel is an original
engineering development and is not positioned as a
continuation of the classic Project 342 series (342E, 342U).
The technical design was approved by the RRR (RKO) at the
beginning of 2021. This page contains demo materials of the
classification project stage.
The Class Design received approval from the RRR (RKO) in
early 2021.
