Catamarans

 

Multi-hull vessels (catamarans) have long been recognized for their ability to successfully solve contradictory engineering challenges: they combine a shallow draft with excellent stability, achieve high speed with a soft ride in waves, and offer large deck areas at relatively low displacement.

Sea Tech's CEO, Petr Ezhov, a former student of Professor M.Ya. Alferyev (the author of fundamental research and the creator of many well-known river catamarans), has always paid particular attention to this vessel type.

We present our ongoing work on the further development of twin-hull vessels and future directions: the concept of the river trimaran and catamarans with hydrofoil assistance (hydrodynamic lift).
