Base Design: "Yaroslavets" Type Vessel. The original design is a
single-screw tug featuring a sheer deck. It is intended for towing
small craft, transporting 10–15 tons of cargo, or carrying up to 12
passengers. Its designated navigation area is RRR Class "O" (Inland
waterways).
Developed by the Ministry of Shipbuilding Design Bureau in 1948, the
vessel entered mass production in 1953 at the Yaroslavl Shipyard and
other facilities. A vast number of these motor vessels were built,
serving on every river across Russia.
