The SMT projects represent a line of marine (ocean-going) expedition trawler yachts designed for long-range cruising. These were developed for the American yachting company Bering Ocean Yachts by New Shipyard in collaboration with Sea Tech.

Sea Tech provided invaluable support in establishing Bering’s business operations, first in China and later in the free economic zone of Antalya, Turkey.

During the cooperation with Bering, a partnership was formed with Scott Blee, the owner and lead designer of the Australian firm SABDES Yacht Design. One of the most prominent collaborative projects was the exterior design of the AY15 yacht, developed for the Yacht Academy.
