The vessel features a steel hull, an aluminum superstructure, a trunk (casing) over the machinery space, and a poop deck in the area of the diving equipment compartment.

The decompression chamber, cylinders, and other diving equipment and gear located in the aft compartment can be rolled out (extended) onto the poop deck into the working position when necessary.

An alternative vessel variant with the decompression chamber located on the main deck has also been developed — Project RV1415M2.
