The Project TG17 is a multipurpose ice-strengthened tug equipped
with twin azimuth thrusters (Z-drives). The vessel features an
extended forecastle, a two-tier wheelhouse with 360-degree
visibility, and an aft working deck.
- Towing winch and aft roller (D=900 mm).
- Cargo knuckle-boom crane and main deck container fittings.
- 5m RIB workboat and bow pushing knees.
- Firefighting system: Two monitors on the forecastle deck and a
main engine-driven fire pump.
- Offshore towing of vessels and floating structures.
- Auxiliary harbor operations.
- Oil Spill Response (OSR) support, including boom deployment
and equipment transport.
- Firefighting for floating and shore-based facilities.- General deck cargo transportation.
The lead ship, Penay, was launched in September 2016. The
vessel's delivery to deep water was executed using a specialized
pontoon (Project 20360p) based on a delivery project developed
by Sea Tech.
