The Project BLV04 is a twin-screw buoy tender featuring
an extended forecastle and a two-tier wheelhouse with 360-degree
visibility. The vessel is designed with an aft working deck
equipped with an electric winch and a stern roller.
Key Equipment:
- Deck Crane: Telescopic cargo crane (capacity: 3 t at 15 m).
- Buoy Operations: Side-mounted lifting platforms for buoy
anchor deployment.
- Hydrography: Multi-beam echo sounder for seabed surveys.
Mission Profiles:
- AtoN Support: Boarding, deployment, and maintenance of
floating navigational aids (BMBL-78 class buoys) within port
waters and approaches.
- Logistics: Transportation of general deck cargo.
- Hydrographic Surveys: Seabed and bottom inspection.
The lead ship of the series, Viktor Kuskov, was launched in June
2016.
