The Project 2707 multipurpose vessel is designed for
transporting cargo and passengers in the river basins of the Far
North, as well as in sea bays with wave heights up to 3 meters
and in light ice conditions. The vessel features passenger
cabins and a cargo deck for general cargo and vehicles. It is
equipped with a crane and a ramp for landing on unequipped
shores.
The lead ship, Taymyr, was completed in late 2003
and currently operates in the Khatanga River basin. The vessel
was built in a record-breaking period of just one year. This
achievement was largely due to the high-quality hull
documentation developed using the Sea Solution system, which
allowed for minimal plate allowances.
The series continued with the MV Khansuta Yaptune
(built in 2004). These vessels represent a unique solution for
the Far North, combining high hull durability with the ability
to operate effectively in ice conditions.
