Project 164-PT is an inland dry cargo vessel
designed for the carriage of bulk and general
cargoes — including grain, fertilizers, steel, and
timber — as well as ISO containers. The vessel
features an aft-engine room layout and an
elastically mounted (shock-absorbed) superstructure
to ensure high standards of crew comfort. The design
is optimized for operations on European inland
waterways.
The project followed an international production
model: Russian shipyards specialized in the
construction of "naked" hulls for subsequent
delivery to Dutch customers. Sea Tech provided
comprehensive workshop documentation and production
data (lofting) developed via
Sea Solution and
Sea Solid CAD/CAM systems. Final outfitting and wheelhouse
installation were carried out at outfitting yards in
the Netherlands.
