Oceanographic research fishery vessel (Hull No. 113) was designed
and built by order of the Faroe Marine Research Institute for fish
resource and environmental research in the North Atlantic and the
Norwegian Sea:
- Pelagic and bottom trawling;
- Underwater acoustic research;
- Plankton sampling;
- Hydrographic survey;
- Environmental monitoring, etc.
The vessel is equipped with the latest technologies for scientific
analysis and related processes — navigation, communication,
fish-finding, and catch handling. Special attention during design
was paid to achieving minimum noise levels to ensure optimal
conditions for research operations.
The vessel was delivered in the autumn of 2020.
